Casual event crew for bump-in, operation and bump-out, plus technical roles across lighting, audio and vision, stylists, drivers and warehouse staff. We also hire for office-based roles in coordination and business development as the business grows.
Yes, casual crew make up a large part of our on-site team. Work is event-based, so it varies week to week and concentrates around peak periods — spring and the lead-up to Christmas in particular. Reliability matters more than experience for entry-level crew.
Yes. We host students from event management, live production and technical programs, and we're set up to work with universities and TAFE around placement requirements and paperwork. If you're studying and looking for placement hours, get in touch with your course details.
For general crew, none — we'll train you. What matters is turning up on time, working safely and being willing to learn. A driver's licence and your own vehicle are strongly preferred, as bump-ins start early and pack-downs often finish late when public transport isn't running. For technical roles we'll want relevant experience and the tickets for that work.
Event work isn't nine to five. Bump-ins often start early, bump-outs frequently run late, and weekends are common — that's the nature of the industry. Shifts are confirmed in advance where possible, and we do our best to give notice.
Send your CV to hello@inlightstudios.com.au with a short note about what you're looking for and your availability. If you have relevant tickets, a driver's licence or your own vehicle, mention them. We keep applications on file and get in touch as work comes up.
