Uplighting sits on the floor and washes walls or columns with colour, changing the whole feel of a room. Pinspots throw a tight beam onto a specific target — centrepieces, a cake, a product. Festoon is strung overhead and gives warm, informal ambience. Most rooms use a combination.

Much of our lighting is battery-powered, which is what makes it workable in heritage venues, gardens and marquees where power is limited. Larger rigs need mains power and we'll confirm the venue's available circuits during planning. For remote or outdoor sites we can arrange a generator.

Yes. Our LED fixtures are colour-mixing, so we can dial in a specific brand colour rather than settling for the nearest preset. Send your brand guidelines with hex or Pantone references. We'll be upfront if a colour won't reproduce accurately at scale, which occasionally happens with very pale or muted tones.

Yes. Lighting can be programmed to shift between states — one look for arrival, another for formalities, another once the dancing starts. That needs either a programmed sequence or an operator on site, both of which we can provide. Static lighting is set once and left, which suits simpler events.

Yes. We carry outdoor-rated uplights and wall wash fixtures suitable for gardens, courtyards and marquees. Outdoor work needs weather consideration, appropriate cable protection and often battery power, so it's worth a site inspection before we finalise a design.

Not for most of what we do. Uplighting, pinspots on stands and battery fixtures need no rigging at all. Overhead work — festoon runs, truss-mounted fixtures, chandeliers — does need suitable rigging points or ground support, and we'll confirm what your venue allows before quoting.
