A 70s disco to bring everyone back
After the COVID years, Schneider Electric wanted one big Christmas party that would get as many staff as possible in the same room again, lift morale, and make the move back to the office feel like something to look forward to.

The team chose a 70s disco theme and we ran with it across every space. The night started on a hot-pink carpet and a walk-through tunnel of rainbow LED light frames, lined with tropical florals and mirror balls. Inside, glow furniture, disco ball centrepieces and colour-washed walls led guests to a light-up LED dance floor that stayed full until close.

- Venue sourcing: we found The Ternary at Novotel Darling Harbour to fit the budget and guest count, with an entrance, main room, balcony and terrace to theme
- The entrance moment: a custom LED light frame tunnel, pink carpet runner, oversized tropical floral arrangements and disco ball clusters
- Theming: disco ball and floral centrepieces, glow cocktail tables, silver foil fringe, sequin backdrops and green-wall dividers on the terrace
- Lighting: battery-powered uplighting through every room, plus neon tubes
- The dance floor: a light-up LED dance floor with DJ
- Interactive pieces: a 360 booth and photo moments throughout the venue
- Photography to capture the night
Spectacular. 91% of staff turned up, costumes and all, the dance floor was full from the first song, and the party did exactly what the client hoped: it made the return to the office easier.
